Bird's Nest Fern Kokedama
BIRD'S NEST FERN (ASPLENIUM NIDUS)
The Bird's Nest Fern (Asplenium nidus) is a beautiful foliage plant, with large fronds that form a bowl shape, inside which is a fuzzy brown substance where new baby fronds arise.
Our Birds Nest Fern Kokedama is available in the large size option as detailed below. Each Kokedama is lovingly hand made when you order.
Large - our large sized Kokedama are roughly the size of a coconut, perfect as a stand out feature plant or collection of plants in those larger areas.
Bird's Nest Ferns prefer medium light, out of direct sunlight.
In general, water when the Kokedama moss ball has dried out. Depending on the size of your Kokedama, this may be weekly in Summer and 2-3 weeks through Winter.
To water, submerge and soak the moss ball in a bowl of water for approximately 15 minutes, or until the Kokedama feels heavy and full. Gently squeeze out the excess water from the moss ball, ensuring it does not stay waterlogged. This will extend the life of the twine and help keep your plant free of health conditions such as gnats or root rot.
